I don't know about the rest of you, but this
morning when I went to gas up my car my wallet
all of a sudden seamed a lot emptier. I am
sure there are a lot of people out there that
are even worse of with me struggling to make
sure there is gas to get to work. With
this topic in mind, I was pretty impressed with
BMW's upcoming prototype car "BMW Goes Green".
Due in part to the regulations that are headed
towards California regarding clean emissions and
advanced technology, BMW has begun developing a
new generation of electric vehicles that some
predict will hit the show rooms as early as
2015. I realize that is a few years down
the road, but one can imagine how much per year
in gas you would save if you could get an all
electric car.
I don't know how many of you remember, but back
in 1991 and 1992 BMW rolled out a few electric
concepts titled the E1 and E2, these were quite
the flops as the 0 - 50 time was in the minutes
(I kid, but it was around 16 - 17 seconds).
Hopefully with new battery technology as well as
motor technology, we can see some future options
come out of BMW that will prove valuable to us
consumers.
